The Transit Alliance is a big supporter of the Yonge Relief Line. It can be quoted along with many experts as saying the relief line is necessary to alleviate congestion and unlock gridlock.
During the Toronto Region Vision Summit, the honoured panelists —Toronto Chief Planner Jennifer Keesmaat, Leslie Woo, Chief Planning Officer of Metrolinx, and Luigi Santaguida of Stanton Renaissance —were asked whether Toronto should build a relief line and, if so, should it take priority over other projects.
