Toronto is in a transit renaissance, according to the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Steven Del Duca. The city is in the midst of confirming their transit network plan, or the “motherlode of transit plans”. It encompasses everything — and the big debate next week in city council will be how to fund these desperately-needed projects.
But, it’s important not to lose track of why Toronto needs transit. It’s not for us, but rather for future generations. It’s to ensure pollution is reduced, gridlock is alleviated, and that children and their children can live a better life.
